Two Arrested and Charged with Attempted Murder in Santa Fe Shooting
A 48-year-old man from Glorieta is in stable condition after being shot early Tuesday morning on Cerrillos Road in Santa Fe. Two individuals, Jair Rascon-Chavez, 21, and Luis Adrian Garcia, 22, both from Santa Fe, have been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
According to the Santa Fe police, the suspects were wearing face coverings and ballistic vests, and were armed with assault-style rifles. They face multiple charges, including attempted murder, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, discharging a firearm from or at a motor vehicle, and negligent use of a deadly weapon.
Police officers were called to Presbyterian Hospital at approximately 2:40 a.m. Tuesday, where they found the victim with a single gunshot wound. The investigation is ongoing, and further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
