Authorities have confirmed the tragic discovery of Dontrell Gooden, a 20-year-old man who had been reported missing. A critical missing person alert was issued on Saturday following his disappearance.
On Sunday, Birmingham Police located Gooden’s body inside a vehicle at the intersection of Spruce Avenue and Cunningham Street. Investigators determined he had been fatally shot, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Currently, no suspects have been identified, and the circumstances of the shooting remain under investigation. The Birmingham Police Department is appealing to the public for any information that could assist in solving the case.
