Lancaster, CA – Authorities have identified the pedestrian killed in a vehicle collision earlier this week as 25-year-old Nicolas Calle. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s office confirmed that Calle succumbed to blunt force trauma.

The fatal accident occurred Wednesday evening at the intersection of 70th Street East and East Avenue I. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) was alerted at 7:10 p.m. by the Lancaster Sheriff’s Station, according to CHP Officer Sean Lough. Upon arrival, officers found Calle lying in the street. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
