Landen J.W. Comer and Nathan Vogelsang Killed in Fatal Head-On Collision in Southern Indiana

Tragedy struck in southern Indiana on Tuesday, claiming the lives of two men from Ripley County. Nathan Vogelsang, 24, and his passenger, Landen J.

W. Comer, 19, were pronounced dead at the scene of a severe accident on US 421 near County Road 100 North, just north of Versailles.

According to the Indiana State Police, Vogelsang was traveling south on US 421 when he lost control of his vehicle, veering into the northbound lanes. He collided head-on with a semi-truck operated by 34-year-old Oleh Hrudnenko. Hrudnenko suffered minor injuries in the incident.

The investigation is ongoing, with authorities working to determine the cause of the accident. US 421 was closed for several hours to facilitate the investigation and cleanup. At this time, there is no indication that alcohol or drugs played a role in the accident.
